This Privacy Policy explains how Möbius Strip Media LLC ("Möbius Strip Media," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit www.mobiusstripmedia.com, submit a form, book a call, subscribe to updates, or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the "Site").
Möbius Strip Media is a Connecticut limited liability company with a principal place of business in Norwalk, Connecticut.
This Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service by reference. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information You Give UsWe collect the information you choose to provide, which typically includes your name, email address, phone number, company or organization, job title, and whatever you write in a message, brief, or project inquiry.
If you book a call or meeting through the Site, we also collect scheduling details such as your selected time, time zone, and any notes you add to the booking.
If you subscribe to updates, we collect your email address and your subscription preferences.Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically collect technical information including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, referring URL, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and the dates and times of your visits.

We may receive information about you from services we use to run our business, such as email platforms that report whether a message was opened, scheduling tools that confirm a booking, or social platforms that provide aggregate engagement data about our posts and ads.
Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, health information, or information about your race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, immigration status, or union membership through the Site.
Please do not submit sensitive information through our contact form. If you need to share confidential or proprietary material, contact us first so we can put an appropriate agreement in place.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to:Respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about a potential or active engagement.
Prepare estimates, proposals, and statements of work.Schedule and conduct calls and meetings.
Deliver and support the services described in a signed agreement.
Send you marketing emails, newsletters, and updates if you have opted in.Understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can improve it.
Measure the performance of our advertising and content.Maintain the security and integrity of the Site and investigate suspected misuse.
Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and establish or defend legal claims.
We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
3. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We and our service providers use them to keep the Site functioning, remember your preferences, and measure traffic and campaign performance.
The categories we use are:
Strictly Necessary. Required for the Site to load, for forms to submit, and for basic security. These cannot be turned off through the Site.
Analytics. Help us understand which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and where they drop off. This may include Google Analytics.
Advertising and Retargeting. Allow us to show relevant ads on other platforms and measure whether an ad led to a visit or inquiry. This may include tools from Meta, Google, and LinkedIn.
Embedded Media. Video and social embeds from services such as Vimeo, YouTube, and Instagram may set their own cookies when a page containing them loads or when you play a video.You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking them or deleting existing ones. Some parts of the Site may not work correctly if you block strictly necessary cookies.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by applicable law. Because there is no common industry standard for Do Not Track browser signals, we do not currently respond to them.
4. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.
We share personal information only in the following situations:
Service Providers. Companies that host our site, send our email, manage our scheduling, run our analytics, store our files, or process our payments. These providers may access your information only to perform work for us and are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.
Production Partners. On active projects, we may share relevant contact and logistical information with editors, camera operators, sound engineers, animators, location managers, and other collaborators who need it to complete the work.
Clients. If you contacted us in connection with a project for one of our clients, we may share your inquiry with that client.
Legal and Safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Möbius Strip Media, our clients, or others.
Business Transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our assets, in which case personal information may be among the assets transferred.
With Your Direction. When you ask us to share information with a specific person or organization.
5. PRODUCTION MATERIALS AND LIKENESSES
Because we produce video and photography, our work sometimes captures the images, voices, names, and statements of individuals who appear on camera or contribute to a project.
Footage, stills, audio, and related production materials are handled under the terms of the applicable release, production agreement, or statement of work rather than under this Policy. Ownership, licensing, usage rights, and duration are defined in those documents.If you appeared in a production we shot and have a question about how that material is being used, contact us at the address in Section 12 and we will direct you to the right party.
6. DATA RETENTION
We keep personal information only as long as we have a reason to keep it.Inquiries that do not become projects are generally retained for up to twenty-four (24) months so we can follow up and maintain a record of the conversation.
Client and project records, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence, are retained for the duration of the engagement and for at least seven (7) years afterward to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements.
Marketing subscriber information is retained until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a minimal suppression record so we do not contact you again.
Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the tools we use, typically between fourteen (14) and twenty-six (26) months.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it.
7. HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access controls on our systems and storage, and limits on who within our team can view client and project data.No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you send information to us at your own risk.If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulator as required by law.
8. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. We extend the following rights to all Site visitors regardless of whether a particular law applies to us:
Access. Request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you and obtain a copy of it.
Correction. Ask us to fix information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Deletion. Ask us to delete information we hold about you, subject to legal and contractual retention requirements.Portability. Receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format where technically feasible.Opt Out. Tell us to stop sending marketing communications, and to stop using your information for targeted advertising.
Non-Discrimination. Exercise any of these rights without being denied service or given a lesser level of service.
Connecticut Residents. The Connecticut Data Privacy Act gives residents the rights listed above and the ability to appeal a denied request. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and if the appeal is denied you may contact the Connecticut Attorney General.
California Residents. The CCPA and CPRA give residents similar rights, including the right to know what categories of information we collect and disclose, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As noted above, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Visitors in the EEA and UK. Where the GDPR applies, we process personal information on the basis of your consent, our legitimate interest in operating and marketing our business, the necessity of performing a contract with you, or compliance with a legal obligation. You also have the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any right, email andrew@mobiusstripmedia.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity before responding, usually by confirming details from a prior communication, and we will respond within forty-five (45) days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and how long it will take.You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will ask for written proof of that authorization.
9. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
If you opt in to our emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any message, or by emailing us directly.Even if you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send you transactional or relationship messages, such as replies to your inquiry, project updates, scheduling confirmations, and invoices.
10. THIRD-PARTY SITES AND PLATFORMS
The Site links to and embeds content from third-party services. Those services collect information under their own privacy policies, which we do not control and are not responsible for.If you interact with us on a social platform, that platform's privacy policy governs the information it collects about you.
11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.Where a production involves minors on camera, we obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian through a separate release.
12. INTERNATIONAL VISITORS
We operate in the United States, and our service providers store information in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a country whose data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.If we make a material change to how we handle personal information, we will provide additional notice, such as a banner on the Site or an email to subscribers. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
